Aleksi: We made this song during the same weekend as “End Game”. I think you can hear it from the sounds. We finished the song last autumn but we’ve been sitting on it because we thought that it might need some vocals. Eventually we got tired and decided to publish it as an instrumental song. Anyway this is probably my favourite one so far. What do you think?

Ray: While “End Game” was something we made in the optimistic Cuba Libre buzz, “Fear of the Beat” is what we made in the devastating hangover the day after. It’s melancholic and down-to-earth but still catches you on your feet. Yearning guitars, punchy analogue bass, and lush keys are this track's essence. We wanted lyrics for this song but neither of us could come up with a story beyond the title and neither of us have golden throats either. Let this be an open audition call: if you can write lyrics and would like to sing for this song, we’d love to hear from you!
